Who we are
We are the Theta Gamma chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority! ASA was founded in 1901 and has been developing women of poise and purpose through sisterhood and service ever since then! Theta Gamma chapter was installed at Christopher Newport University on March 20, 2004.

Special olympics
Special Olympics is the world’s largest movement dedicated to promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion, and human dignity for people with intellectual disabilities.

Our sisters participate in Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign, Polar Plunge, and serve as coaches for teams.

Girls on the run​
Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. The program teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games.
​
Our sisters volunteer as coaches, participate in 5K events, serve as running buddies, and provide snacks.

The Alpha Sigma alpha foundation
The Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation exists to support the educational, leadership, and philanthropic purposes of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority through charitable giving.

Our sisters have the opportunity to apply for scholarships through the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation and provide connections for alumnae sisters.

Alpha Sigma Alpha fosters close friendships throughout collegiate experience and ​ultimately, for life. Alpha Sigma Alpha inspires women to lead, to serve and most of all to make a difference.Our sisterhood is a unique and everlasting bond, which gives members a support system and a home away from home.

From the day new members receive their bids to graduation, we focus on creating geniune friendships through monthly potlucks, movie nights, retreats, philanthropic events, spa nights, and more! Alpha Sigs love and cherish every moment spent together.
